| Ruth Ann Bradley is the manager and owner of the Yoga Institute of Broward, Broward County's first Iyengar Yoga studio. She has practiced this more than 25 years, and is a teacher in this field for ten years. A certified massage specialist, Ruth Ann applies her neuromuscular and rehabilitative knowledge in her classes with students of different levels. She also includes Iyengar Yoga and thus the students describe the teaching hours as different, challenging, and total. She is a licensed Instructor, and has studied in India with the Iyengar family. A licensed Iyengar yoga teacher is taught in the method and is skilled about props to use and changes to make so that all the people, including those once injured, can practice it safely. The license is hard to be obtained. It includes teacher education for at least two years. The teacher understands how to make small adjustments by applying props, and must in detail understand a variety of troubles individuals have. Once teacher education is finished, the student then has a theory exam and also another one, which involves demonstration of asanas, pranayama, and teaching abilities in front of a board of licensed instructors.
