Acupuncture Chinese Medicine is a comprehensive health care system that uses acupuncture and Chinese Herbs to balance the body and foster an ultimate state of health. Within each person are pathways in which the energy (called Qi) of our body flows. Much like the messenger pathways of our nervous and circulatory systems, these meridians act as conduits for energetic passage. With the use of hair thin acupuncture needles on specific anatomical points, a licensed acupuncturist can make subtle adjustments to the flow of these meridians and alter the imbalances to promote a state of health. Chinese Herbs Chinese Herbs have been studied and formulated for over a millennia and are the most complex, yet effective way to utilize plant or botanical medicine to achieve results. Herbs are prescribed in formulas that are specifically designed to suit each individual. The benefits of including herbs in a treatment plan are numerous. Often they can nourish the body and mind for those that are more depleted. Additionally they can calm, support and enhance the body to work in the most efficient and effective manner. Cupping Cupping has become popularized in the media due to the marks seen on several celebrities. Like all of Chinese Medicine, it has been around for thousands of years and has played a role in many medical histories of different cultural origins. It has remained due to its ability to address several key ailments. Commonly it is used for pain management and respiratory disorders. Cupping is the placement of specially designed glass cups in an inverted position over certain areas of the body with the use of vacuum pressure. While this procedure does leave marks for several days, it can often provide immediate relief for many conditions and is a great and often under-utilized component of Eastern Medicine.

I have been Dr. Luo's patient for 3 years and I continue to be surprised at his abilities. My health problems are unique but they have not caused Dr. Luo to give up treatment. He continues to try his best to give me relief from pain. I am often asked if acupuncture hurts. Well, it doesn't. Because I have pain when I'm touched and wear clothing, sometimes I have pain with the needles but I feel the benefits of the treatment outweigh the temporary pain. However, I have experienced the needles being painless and this is the most common experience with acupuncture.

On my first visit to Dr. Luo, I could hardly walk into the office, but when I sat up from the treatment the pain was cut in half. I continue to see improvement in my chronic condition and I ALWAYS find relief afterwards. For the following day or two, I experience soreness and stiffness because my body is merely adjusting. I continue to go back because in short, acupuncture helps.

One thing I greatly appreciate and admire in Dr. Luo is his compassion for his patients. He believes in the combination of Eastern and Western medicine and takes his time to give the best care to each patient. I have Big Directory him to many people, including my family, and in every case acupuncture has resulted in an improvement in their various conditions. It is not a cure but it is an alternative to surgery, procedures, and medication.

I wholeheartedly recommend acupuncture to all patients. Furthermore, when searching for a competent and compassionate doctor, look no further than Dr. Luo. I am afraid to think what my physical condition would be if I didn't start treatment 3 years ago, and I give Dr. Luo my gratitude for giving me control of my health and hope for the future.

Been There, Done That! Pretty much sums up my experience with conventional treatments for a herniated disc in my back. Epidurals, muscle relaxers, pain killers, ice packs, heating pads, chiropractic adjustments; I tried them all. Five years ago, with an I'll try anything attitude, I had my first acupuncture treatment with Dr. Luo. Since then no more epidurals, muscle relaxers, pain killers, ice packs, heating pads or chiropractic adjustments and, as an added benefit, I also have lowered my blood pressure and almost eliminated migraine headaches.

I don't understand the pure science of why acupuncture works; I just know that it keeps me balanced and my energy level high. Dr. Luo has also introduced me to Chinese herbs, vitamins and other centuries old nutritional philosophies that have given me a renewed vitality, overall better health and a more positive attitude on the aging process. I cannot thank Dr. Luo enough for what he has done for me.
